Maranatha Seniors: Our annual barbecue will be held on Thursday, June 15, at Gary & Greta Heuving’s place at 228 Golf Course Road, Stirling. Coffee at 10am and lunch at 12:30pm. This year we would like each person to give $5/person to cover the cost of food. All seniors are welcome! Please bring a lawn chair, a smile and some sunshine. Thank You to all the drivers who took their time and effort to get me to my dialysis appointments in Kingston on time every week. It is greatly appreciated and I feel the love of being in community. I start dialysis in Belleville on Monday, June 19. Praise God, He is good! Thanks again, Jean Couperus.
Evangelism Seminar Maranatha is hosting a ReAwaken seminar on evangelism on Wed., June 21 from 9am to 1:30pm with two speakers on keeping young people in the church and how churches are growing by evangelism in Canada. Maranatha Blooms: A big thank you to all the gardeners and helpers who stepped up and got the gardens cleaned up planted over the last couple of weeks while I was sick. However, now that they are all planted, unfortunately the weeds WILL return…and we are really in need of 5 more gardeners who can commit to weekly weeding and maintenance so that the gardens will again be a blessing to us and the community as they grow. YFC Masterpiece Performing Arts Camp: Join us July 10-14 for this year’s YFC Masterpiece Performing Arts Camp. Camp runs daily from 8:30-4pm. Open to students in the Quinte region who are in or entering Grades 3-8! Each day includes opening and closing sessions as well as theme based instruction from teachers skilled in music, drama, dance and fine art. Snacks and Lunch are provided. On the last day of Camp, parents and family members are invited to attend a punch reception and demonstration of the talents of the campers. Cost is $130 per student!
