A Special Ministry – Our Pioneer Club could really benefit from having a few more people acting as one on ones for a few of our kids, kids that need a little extra help. No weekly prep is needed. Just being there beside them makes the difference, making it possible for these kids to be in club, learning about God’s love for them. We meet on Wednesdays, 6-7:30pm. Community Thanksgiving Dinner: Would you like to share Thanksgiving with others? We would like to invite you as our guest! The dinner will be held here on Thanksgiving Day, Oct. 9 from 12:30-2pm. For more information, see the flyer on the bulletin board outside the main office.

Sponsor Children for Pioneer Club: Some families find it difficult to pay the $50 registration fee for their child to attend Pioneer Club. Would you consider giving a donation towards the fees that could be offered to these families? Please make the cheques out to Maranatha Church and on the memo line put Pioneer Club and place them in the offering plate or take them to the Pioneer Club table in the foyer.

Focus on The Family Film: The movie, “Mully”, the inspiring true story of Charles Mully will be shown in Kingston at Cineplex Odeon Theatres on Gardiners Road on Oct. 4 & 12. Please see the poster on the board outside the office.

Prayer Night: We have been praying together for Maranatha on the last Wednesday of the month. Next meeting is planned for Wednesday, Sept. 27 at 7:30pm in the Youth Hall.

Promise Keepers is holding a national men’s conference at the Queensway in Toronto on Friday, Nov. 17 and Saturday, Nov. 18. Felix Boer & Darrel Brown are organizing a group of men for the Saturday session. Special guest will be 4-time World Series Champion Darryl Strawberry. Please talk to Darrel Brown or Felix Boer if you are interested in going.

Walking Group started on Tuesday, Sept. 19 at 10am in the Youth Hall and runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Any one interested in walking to a video is welcome to join. For more information, talk to Fran Dunford.
