Our Church Family: Condolences to the Dykstra & VanderWal families on the passing of Nick last Sunday. Condolences also to Gerald & Evelyn Allison & family on the passing of Gerald’s mother this past Thursday. Congratulations to Gerrit Tammel as he celebrates his 83rd birthday on Friday. Andy Jongenotter remains in Trenton Hospital.

No Evening Service next Sunday, as we will be having a Thanksgiving Day Service on Monday, Oct 9 at 10am.  Plan to join us to thank God for His blessings and to celebrate communion together. The offering will be for World Renew relief help for those affected by the recent hurricanes. Please give generously to this cause.

Midweek: A new season of Midweek starts up Oct. 5, check out the brochure in the bulletin and register TODAY for the course of your choice. If a couple or a family take the course only one workbook is needed. NOTE: The signing class will not start until Thursday, Oct. 12.

Wedding Announcement: Elizabeth Busse & Graham Quick  have indicated their desire to be married in the Lord, Saturday, Oct. 7 at 3pm in the chapel. Unless there are valid objections, the ceremony will take place at that time, D.V. Pastor Visser will be officiating. Elizabeth & Graham invite the congregation to witness their marriage.

Maranatha Seniors: Our annual bus trip will be on Thursday, Oct. 5. We will go ahead with the trip even though we are mourning the loss of our leader Nick Dykstra. Please be at the church at 8am and park in the back parking lot of the church. Please make sure to bring your $55. The bus is full and there is a waiting list so if you are unable to go, please let Greta know no later than Monday, Oct. 2.

A Special Ministry: Our Pioneer Club could really benefit from having a few more people acting as one on ones for a few of our kids, kids that need a little extra help. No weekly prep is needed. Just being there beside them makes the difference, making it possible for these kids to be in club, learning about God’s love for them. We meet on Wednesdays, 6-7:30pm. Focus on The Family Film: The movie, “Mully”, the inspiring true story of Charles Mully will be shown in Kingston at Cineplex Odeon Theatres on Gardiners Road Oct. 4 and 12.

Promise Keepers is holding a national men’s conference at the Queensway in Toronto on Friday, Nov. 17 and Saturday, Nov. 18. Felix Boer & Darrel Brown are organizing a group of men for the Saturday session. Special guest will be 4-time World Series Champion Darryl Strawberry. Please talk to Darrel Brown or Felix Boer if you are interested.
