Council & Staff wish everyone a Blessed Christmas and a joyful New Year! God’s blessings on you this season!

Year-End Giving: Please prayerfully consider how God has blessed you this year and how you can contribute to the ministry of Maranatha as we seek to reach the lost, restore the broken, equip the saints and release the workers. Prayerfully consider both the budget and the building fund to help pay down our mortgage. Donations must be made no later then Sunday, Dec. 31 to be eligible for donation receipts for 2017.

A Big Thank You to everyone who donated a basket to families in need. There was an overwhelming response to our request for donations and many have been blessed as a result. With thanks, the Benevolence Team.

New Members’ Class will be held on Jan. 12 & 13 and Jan. 19 & 20. For more information see the insert in the bulletin.

Youth has ended for the season and will resume again on Friday, Jan. 5. See you then!

Thank You for all your support over the last 4 weeks. You have supported me with meals, your caring, your visiting, but especially your prayers. Please continue to pray for God’s healing for my body. To know I have a church that stands behind me to get through this time is very encouraging. I do appreciate you very much and I thank you for it all. Catherine Stoter

Maranatha Birthday and Event Calendars for January are in mailboxes and the Information Centre. If you would like your birthday included on the calendar, please contact the church office.

Dinner Theatre: On Saturday, Feb. 10, Maranatha Marriage Ministry will be hosting a dinner theater and presenting the captivating musical “Moses”, filmed before a live audience at the world renown Sight & Sound Theatre. Tickets are $20 each and will be available after the service, or at the church office. They make great Christmas gifts. All adults are welcome.

Griefshare: If you or someone you know is grieving the death of a love one there is caring support available through GriefShare. Starting Thursday Jan. 11 from 7-9 pm GriefShare will again be running its 13 session support group. Excellent videos featuring experienced grief counsellors and people sharing experiences of their grief journey help us to learn that grieving is normal, is different for everyone and provide input on how to handle grief in a healthy way. Caring and experienced facilitators are there to encourage and support during group discussions, and a workbook to be used at home helps us draw near to God as we look at the different aspects of our grief journey.
