Council Announcement: Council presented the name of Pastor Mike Nanninga to the congregation as a candidate to call as our Pastor of Discipleship and to be our future Lead Pastor. Council’s announcement, along with a copy of the job description and more information about Pastor Mike were put in your mail slot. Mike and his wife Loretta will join us on Sunday, May 1 where he will preach at the morning service and remain after the service so we can get to know him better. You can also check out his sermons at cephascrc.com. The voting will take place on Sunday, May 8 after the morning service and ballots will be received by mail up to Friday, May 13. When we called Pastor Tom, he committed to 3-5 years and one of his key mandates was to mentor a junior pastor for which we believe he is particularly gifted and called to do. We believe Pastor Mike has the bible knowledge, gift mix and faith to fulfil our vision of discipleship and to grow into a Lead Pastor who will lead us beyond Pastor Tom’s retirement.
Our Church Council will be welcoming our region's (Classis') Church visitors. The church visitors consist of a pastor and elder appointed by our Classis, who come to encourage us and to inquire about our church's health. The visit will take place on May 4, 2022.
