Our Church Family: Congratulations to Charlie Burghgraef as he celebrates his 83rd birthday on Tuesday. Tom Collyer was admitted to Quinte Hospice on Thursday. Please keep Tom & Beth & family in your prayers. Henry Huizinga remains in BGH. His organs are shutting down, and his pain is being controlled. He continues to see the Lord’s goodness and is walking very closely with Him. Please keep Henry and Aaltje in your prayers.

Offerings: Each week we hold an offering for a cause and for budget. This week the offering is for UCB Canada and next Sunday, March 6 the offering will be for Tuition Assistance.

The Journey, A New Series of Messages: On March 6, we start a new series of messages. called The Journey, the series will focus on our walk of faith through this world to the next and will be tied loosely to the book The Pilgrim’s Progress. The children will be following a parallel curriculum on Sunday mornings, exploring the same themes as the adults each week.  How can you make the most of this series personally and as a family? Here are several ideas: 

Read The Pilgrims Progress:  Purchase a print, electronic, or audio version.  (We recommend the modern English version revised by Alan Vermilye.)

Purchase copies of The Little Pilgrim’s Progress for $10 to read with your children, and pick up the Take it Home curriculum prepared by our Children’s Director, Shelley Schamehorn. (Visit the Information Centre in the foyer after the service to get these materials.)
Watch the animated Pilgrim’s Progress film with your kids. It is available on Right Now Media and can be accessed free by any Maranatha community member. Contact Nancy in the church office to register for the service.

Online Church Directory Team Available Today: We will be available in the foyer today to assist with filling out the Consent Forms or to answer any of your questions. We would love to see you!

Director of Congregational Life and Mission: We are happy to announce that we have hired a new Director of Congregational Life and Mission. Her name is Sarita Van Dyke. Sarita and her family have been coming to Maranatha for about six months now. Sarita brings extensive ministry experience, has written curriculum materials, and has dedicated herself to outreach. She is a Qualified Teacher, Registered Nurse, and is bilingual. Most importantly she deeply loves the Lord and is excited to serve at Maranatha Church.

Men’s Ministry Breakfast: Come join us for a time of fellowship and encouragement on Saturday, March 5. Breakfast will be served in the Fellowship Hall from 8:30-10am. Cost is $15/person. Has God Given You a Heart for The Hurting? We are looking for several people to join our Pastoral Care Team. As a Pastoral Care Team member, you would visit or phone members of our community who are infirmed, shut in, or hospitalized. Contact or call Nancy at the church office to express your interest or to request more information.

Personal Prayer: If you would like some prayer, encouragement or support throughout the week, prayer teams are available to pray with you between 11:30am-1:30pm on Tuesdays through Fridays. Come in the back door near the chapel anytime during those hours to receive prayer. or simply come enjoy a personal time of prayer and worship in the chapel! Women’s Life Celebration: Mark your calendars for our next large group women's celebration on Sat. Mar. 19 from 9-11:30am, for all morning and evening groups as well as newcomers! Come enjoy some fellowship, refreshments, worship and sharing. There will also be opportunity to sign up for a Women's Life group at that time, if you're not yet a part of one. Online Church Directory Information Sessions: We want you included in the Online Directory even if you don't have the internet. It's a great way for others to get to know you! Thank you to those who have already signed up! In April, we will be hosting several Information Sessions. At these sessions, you will have the opportunity to learn how to use the program & upload your photos. If you need your photo taken, we will take it for you. Still need to sign up? GriefShare: It hurts to lose someone close to you. Find help at GriefShare, a 13-week course run twice a year. GriefShare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone. The Fundraising Committee for QCHS is excited to bring you the Spring Online Auction! You can preview the items that have been generously donated by downloading the Auctria app and entering "QCHS" as the name of the event. You can also use our website at New items will continue to be added up until March 4, when the auction will go live. When you see posts relating to the auction on your social media sites, please "like" and "share" in order to spread the word.

Thrift Store: All red stickers/tags are $1. The store is looking for men’s jeans, clean plastic bags and good used furniture. You may drop off donations at the back of the store, please ring the doorbell and someone will come to the door. Please drop donations off before 4pm during the week and 3pm on Saturdays.
