Postponed: The January 19 prayer event and the January 30 launch of our vision document “Join the Journey” are being postponed until further notice because of the current limitations related to the pandemic. We will keep you informed as our circumstances change.

College Students Near and Far: We are looking to compile a list of the young men and women of our church family who are studying at College/University. If you are a college student or are a family member of one, could you please email Adam at adam@maranatha-church.com. To the community at large; let’s remember the students we have represented within our church, whose faces we no longer see on a regular basis. Having a praying and supportive home community is an important undergirding and encouragement for our students during a season of pressure, excitement and an ever-opening world before them.

Classis Quinte will be meeting by Zoom on Saturday, Jan. 22. Our delegates will be Elder Joe Veenstra, Deacon Julie Koekman and Pastor Tom Baird. Please keep classis and our delegates in prayer.

Thank you: I would like to thank the congregation for the expressions of love and encouragement last Sunday morning in celebration of my retirement. Evita and I were moved by what was said at the service as well as by the many comments and cards from the congregation – and the cupcakes were great too! I felt honoured and blessed. I have been privileged to serve Maranatha for the past 28 years, and Evita and I look forward to many more years as part of the Maranatha family. God’s blessings, Dave Botting
