Our Church Family: As a congregation we are saddened by the sudden loss of Angie Collier this past Tuesday. There will be a Memorial service held here at Maranatha on Thursday, Jan. 20 at 1pm. Offerings: Each week we hold an offering for a cause and for budget. This week the offering is for Benevolence Fund and next Sunday, Jan. 16 the offering will be Tuition Assistance.

Postponed: The January 19 prayer event and the January 30 launch of our vision document “Join the Journey” are being postponed until further notice because of the current limitations related to the pandemic. We will keep you informed as our circumstances change.

Classis Quinte will be meeting by Zoom on Saturday, Jan. 22. Our delegates will be Elder Joe Veenstra, Deacon Julie Koekman and Pastor Tom Baird. Please keep classis and our delegates in prayer.

Senior/Junior High: Youth is going online via Zoom! Check out your social media platforms and check in with your leaders if you have any questions. Come join us as we connect, play games and encourage one another. Contact James Stickland for Senior High (Grades 9-12) and Shelley Schamehorn for Junior High (Grades 6-8).

Worship Night: Join us on Sunday, Jan. 16 at 6:30pm for a time of extended worship and community-led prayer and testimonies. These evenings are planned for every third Sunday of the month in the auditorium to celebrate our great God and what He is doing in our midst. Come and gather with us!

Mission Trip: Thank you to those who have already supported Natasha Roblin’s mission trip, you are also able to become a monthly partner. If you have any questions, please contact Janet Steiginga at 613-391-8194. Natasha is flying out on Saturday, Jan. 15.

Budget Envelopes: We once again didn’t purchase budget envelopes this year. If you would like to receive tithing envelopes, contact Nancy, and she will put some together for you, and arrange a way for you to pick them up. We encourage you to continue using E-transfer and Paypal and Pre-Authorized payments or dropping off cheques or cash in the secure mailbox out front.

Right Now Media: We will continue to make Right Now Media available for free to anyone in the congregation. Thrift Store: The store is temporarily closed until January 17. At that time all yellow stickers will be $1. The store will also be looking for clean plastic bags Please don’t drop off items while the store is closed.

Quinte Christian High School is excited to share how we are blessed with continued growth and now have an opening in the coming school year for a full time Tech Shop Teacher. The ideal candidate would be well suited for, and experienced in teaching various High School Tech Shop Courses as well as be a member of the OCT.
