Our Church Family: Condolences to Beth Collyer and family on the passing of Tom, on Saturday, March 5. The funeral was held this past Wednesday. Hazel VanderVelde has been diagnosed with cancer. Please keep her & Jake in your prayers. Henry Huizinga returned home this past Friday. Please keep Henry & Aaltje in your prayers. Glen Arendt has been making small strides forward, he has been able to wiggle his big toe which indicates that some life is coming back to the nerve endings. Congratulations to Beth Collyer as she celebrates her 92nd birthday on Tuesday, also to Henk VanStraten who celebrates his 82nd birthday on Thursday and to John VanderPloeg as he celebrates his 83rd birthday on Saturday.

Offerings: Each week we hold an offering for a cause and for budget. This week the offering is for Canadian Foodgrains Bank and next Sunday, March 20 the offering will be for World Renew Ukraine Relief.

March 6 Giving: Total: $16,294.65; Budget: $13,051.65, Building: $2,145.00, Tuition Assistance: $298.00, Foodgrains Bank: $325.00, Tokens: $150.00, Other Causes: $325.00.

Pastor Tom will be out of the office from Monday, March 14 until Monday, March 21.

Council Elections: Council is working on nominations for elders and deacons and invites the congregation to submit names of people they believe would be qualified to serve. Names should be submitted in writing to the church office no later than Monday March 14 at 5pm. Submissions should be addressed to Fran Dunford, clerk of council and signed by the person putting names forward for consideration. Elders and deacons should be Christians of mature faith and character, full of the Holy Spirit, with gifts of leadership, wisdom and discernment. Elders should also have gifts such as faith, prayer, teaching and evangelism while deacons should have gifts such as service, mercy and encouragement, (See 1 Tim. 3-1-13 and Titus 1:6-9 for the biblical criteria). To be considered, people must be confessing members who are committed to the vision and mission of Maranatha and have demonstrated their maturity and gifts in ministry.

Post Service Prayer: Prayer teams are available after morning services for anyone who would like prayer or to respond to what God has been speaking to them. Meet in front of the stage on the keyboard side after the service and the prayer team will lead you to a classroom to pray. Ever wanted to work at a Cafe? or Just like serving Coffee? Coffee Hour Committee: We are looking for new bodies and support to help get this Ministry back up and running. We are also looking for a vibrant new leader to help lead this team. Set up Coffee/Tea/Juice, goodies and clean (up with dishes). Please Contact Karen Wannamaker asap 613-969-8857.

Women’s Life Celebration: Mark your calendars for our next large group women's celebration on Sat. Mar. 19 from 9-11:30am, for all morning and evening groups as well as newcomers! Come enjoy some fellowship, refreshments, worship and sharing. There will also be opportunity to sign up for a Women's Life group at that time, if you're not yet a part of one. Please register with the office or contact Virginia Wheatley or Deborah Morgante.

Thrift Store: All orange stickers/tags are $1. The store is in need of clean plastic bags and good used furniture. The store has a great variety of fabric for sale. You may drop off donations at the back of the store, please ring the doorbell and someone will come to the door. Please drop donations off before 4pm during the week and 3pm on Saturdays. For those who have Facebook, can follow Margriet on Marketplace, for some great deals from the store. Any questions, talk to Tineke Bouma or Margriet Basaur.

The Belleville Pregnancy and Family Care Centre (BPFCC) is a Christian organization that provides care and support to persons experiencing an unexpected pregnancy or challenges during pregnancy. The BPFCC along with its satellite centre, the Anchor of Hope, are looking for two individuals to join their teams as casual employees who would provide frontline support and care to those we serve. The successful candidates would be on-call to provide staffing support when needed in both the Belleville and Madoc centres. Candidates with experience in the helping field preferred. Interested persons are asked to email Heather Tapp, Executive Director at director@bpfcc.ca providing a letter of application and resume by April 11, 2022.
