Condolences to Trevor & Erin Payton on the passing of Trevor’s sister-in-law Liza at the age of 46. Congratulations to Gabriel & Emily McKay who were married yesterday. Congratulations to Connie Luyt as she celebrates her 84th birthday on Monday, and also to Jean Couperus as she celebrates her 89th birthday on Saturday. Glenda Crawford’s heart surgery has been postponed until June because of a backlog at the hospital. Please keep Glenda in your prayers. Please keep our sick and shut-ins in your prayers.

Pastor of Discipleship: Council is pleased to report that our confessing members voted 90% in favour of calling Pastor Mike Nanninga to be our Pastor of Discipleship with the hopeful expectation that he will become our Lead Pastor one day. An official letter of call was sent to him after the final votes were counted this past Friday. Worship Night: Join us on tonight at 6:30pm for a time of extended worship and community-led prayer and testimonies. These evenings are planned for every third Sunday of the month in the auditorium to celebrate our great God and what He is doing in our midst. Come and gather with us!
Explore Maranatha: Have you been attending Maranatha for a while and want to know more about the church? Or, are you even ready to take the step of membership? If your answer to either of these questions is “yes", we'd like to invite you to an Explore Maranatha session scheduled for May 31. You will learn about the church along with the other interested attendees. The class will start with a meal provided at 6:30 pm and will be finished by 9pm! Youth: We would love to welcome the younger generation into membership! For the first time we will be running a class for those 11-17 years old. Join us after the service from 12-2:30 on either May 29th or June 5th. Pizza lunch will be provided. Come learn more about our church and your place in it. Women’s IF Gathering 2022: Maranatha is excited to be hosting a women’s conference featuring video sessions from IF: 2022 on Fri., June 3 from 6:30-9:30pm and Sat., June 4 from 9am-4pm. Join with women across the region for a weekend of live worship, powerful biblical teaching, deep conversations, and encouragement to surrender your life in greater obedience to God! Grade 6-8's Junior High: Come join us May 20 & 21 for our first sleepover indoors happening here at the church! The fun will start Friday at 6:30pm and run until Saturday at 12 noon. We look forward to playing games, talking about the next steps in your relationship with Jesus, exploring outside and eating delicious food. Get your camp forms in today! Henry Huiskamp’s Celebration of Life will take place 2 pm Sunday May 29 at their home at 1749 Hwy #62 Bloomfield. Bring a lawn chair and dress for weather it is going to be outdoors. All are welcome.
Prayer Group for Parents/Grandparents: Do you have a prodigal child? A struggling teen? A difficult parenting situation? Our children and grandchildren are faced every day with pressures, temptations, confusion, and lies from our culture and Satan, and they need our prayers! Join with others to stand in the gap for them on Wednesdays from 12:00-1:00pm or Thursday mornings from 7:00-8:00am, starting this week until the end of June. Meet in the chapel where we will break into smaller groups to allow for personal sharing and focused prayer as we contend for our younger generation! Flower Gardens: Our church gardens are a beautiful asset - already we are enjoying the spring daffodils at the front of the church! But many of our current gardeners have been retiring and we need new people to help maintain the gardens. We’re looking for people who love plants and flowers - experience isn’t necessary! If you don’t know much about gardening but would like to learn, we can pair you up with a more experienced gardener! If you are interested, contact the office (613-962-2062 or email@example.com).

Grandparents/Grandfriends’ Day: On May 20 we are cordially inviting you to join us at Quinte Christian High School for our Grandparents/ Grandfriends day. We will have coffee and treats available at 10am, a time to tour the classes and then the program begins at 11:50am. After the program, a light lunch will be served.
