Our Church Family: Melissa Roy’s surgery went well and she is recuperating at home. Glenda Crawford is scheduled to undergo open heart surgery this coming Thursday, May 12 at KGH. Doctors hope to correct a defect they discovered that is causing Glenda’s heart to beat dangerously fast. Please keep Glenda and family in your prayers. Please keep Hazel VanderVelde, Henry Huizinga, Glen Arendt, and our sick and shut-ins in your prayers.

Offerings:  This week the offering is for Belleville Pregnancy & Family Care Centre, next Sunday, May 15 the offering is for the Benevolence Fund.

May 1 Giving: Total: $14,873.58; Budget: $12,543.58, Building: $715.00, Pregnancy & Family Care Centre: $1,214.00, New Ground: $401.00.

The Belleville Pregnancy and Family Care Centre is starting the Baby Bottle Drive today and running through until Father’s Day. This is a great opportunity to support the work of the Centre helping them to compassionately care for clients. We encourage you to pick up a bottle and fill it with change, cash or a cheque and return it to by Father’s Day. Thank you for your support.

Explore Maranatha: Have you been attending Maranatha for a while and want to know more about the church? Or, are you even ready to take the step of membership? If your answer to either of these questions is “yes", we'd like to invite adults to an Explore Maranatha session scheduled for May 31st. You will learn about the church along with the other interested attendees. The class will start with a meal provided at 6:30pm and will be finished by 9pm! Youth: We would love to welcome the younger generation into membership! For the first time we will be running a class for those 11-17 years old. Join us after the service from 12-2:30 on either May 29th or June 5th. Pizza lunch will be provided. Come learn more about our church and your place in it. Adults and youth who are interested, please sign up at the Information Desk.

New Address: Beverly MacKenzie’s new address is Quinte Living Centre, 370 Front St., Apt. 304, Belleville, ON, K8N 5L9. Her phone remains the same.

Women’s Conference: On Fri., June 3 from 6:30-9:30pm and Sat., June 4 from 9am-4pm, we will be hosting an in-person women’s conference featuring video sessions from the IF: Gathering 2022. Cost is $19 to register (Sat. lunch is extra or bring your own). It’s open to ladies from other churches, so mark your calendars, invite your friends, and stay tuned for more details and how to register next week!

Wedding Banns: Emily Bouma & Gabriel McKay have indicated their desire to be married in the Lord, Saturday, May 14 at 3pm at Neil & Elaine’s property. Unless there are valid objections, the ceremony will take place at that time, D.V. Pastor Tom Baird will be officiating.

Maranatha Seniors: Our first meeting in two years is planned for Thursday, May 12 at 2pm (note the new time). Our special guest speaker is Dave Botting. Come out and enjoy a time of fellowship and of course coffee and cookies.

Post Service Prayer: Prayer teams are available after morning services for anyone who would like prayer or to respond to what God has been speaking to them. Meet in front of the stage on the keyboard side after the service and the prayer team will lead you to a classroom to pray. If you are at home and would like someone to pray with you over the phone or you would like to schedule a longer prayer appointment, please email deborah@maranatha-church.com

Worship Night: Join us on Sunday, May 15 at 6:30pm for a time of extended worship and community-led prayer and testimonies. These evenings are planned for every third Sunday of the month in the auditorium to celebrate our great God and what He is doing in our midst. Come and gather with us!

Grade 6-8's Junior High: Come join us May 20 & 21 for our first sleepover indoors happening here at the church! The fun will start Friday at 6:30pm and run until Saturday at 12 noon. We look forward to playing games, talking about the next steps in your relationship with Jesus, exploring  outside and eating delicious food. Get your camp forms in today! Flower Gardens: Our church gardens are a beautiful asset - already we are enjoying the spring daffodils at the front of the church! But many of our current gardeners have been retiring and we need new people to help maintain the gardens. We’re looking for people who love plants and flowers - experience isn’t necessary! If you don’t know much about gardening but would like to learn, we can pair you up with a more experienced gardener! Thrift Store: All red stickers/tags are $1. Reminder of the plant sale on Saturday, May 21. If you have any plants, annuals or perennials, we would be pleased to have them. If you need pots to put them in, visit us at the store. For more information call the store 613-967-1371.

Come & See Lion King Jr.: QYU Performing Arts invites YOU to come & see Lion King Jr. on Saturday, May 14 at 2pm & 6pm. This fun, FREE, family event is presented by Opening Act Student Theatre Company. Doors will open for seating 30 minutes before show time. This is a great opportunity to bring a friend! Grandparents/Grandfriends’ Day: On May 20 we are cordially inviting you to join us at Quinte Christian High School for our Grandparents/ Grandfriends day. We will have coffee and treats available at 10am, a time to tour the classes and then the program begins at 11:50am. After the program, a light lunch will be served. Belleville Christian School parents, alumni and friends are invited to the school’s building campaign launch at 7pm on Friday, May 13 at QCHS. SoCo Beach Project '22 Update: The SoCo (South Coast) Beach Project is a summer leadership and discipleship experience for young adults ages 18 - 29 located in Port Dover, Ontario. The participants work local summer jobs, living in intentional Christian community while being mentored. Check out the latest update on this summer's project.
