Bill & Ann Vandenberg celebrate their 58th anniversary on October 17th and Owen & Johanna DeVries celebrate their 62nd anniversary on October 19th.

Do you enjoy visiting the lonely and shut in? If so, the Pastoral Care Team needs you! Please contact the church office at (613) 962-2062.

New Offering Box: The beautiful box and the table it stands on, located in the foyer near the exit doors is Les Stykel’s handiwork. Our offering plates were proving impractical, since they were hard to supervise and were often in the way. Les solved the problem with this new piece of furniture. You can now deposit first and second offerings in the offering box before you leave on Sundays. Thank you Les!

Operation Christmas Child is a hands-on way for churches to bless struggling children in the developing world by filling shoeboxes with toys, hygiene items, and school supplies. Boxes are collected and distributed in the name of Jesus to children living in desperate situations, who are then invited to attend The Greatest Journey—our follow-up discipleship program taught by local churches. Our shoeboxes are available at the information desk starting today.

A Month of Prayer for Our Church: Thank you for praying together in unity for God to move mightily among us. Please continue to press in over these next weeks for all He wants to do in and through us for His glory. Prayer guides are available at the Info Desk and on our website if you haven't received one.

Join the church-wide prayer meeting this Wednesday evening, October 19, starting at 7:00 pm.  The Council is inviting the whole congregation to join in walking through the church building to lift up every ministry in prayer. Things happen when we pray! We hope to see you then.

Calling all Creatives! Do you have a passion for the ‘arts’ and a vision to see more creative expression in the church? Do you have talents in certain areas that you’d like to bring to the table? We are hosting a brainstorming meeting to hear from the artists in our congregation to get your input and to see what God may be percolating in our church for the next season(s). Whatever form art takes for you, we’d love to hear from you. Join us next Wed, Oct 26th at 7pm in the Chapel (back door). Contact Adam or Deborah for more information.

Thrift Store:  Orange tickets are $1.00 this week and on Saturday, they are FREE. Did you know we have a new clothing rack with the regular priced tickets still on them, but at our amazing prices? We are in need of some volunteers to help with clean-up from 3:00—5:00 p.m.

We meet most Monday nights from 7—8:15pm . Come and visit us in the chapel on a Monday night to see if this is a ministry for you, or just to see what it is like. There is no pressure to commit—we love having visitors! Call or email Pat Plewman if you need more information.
