Family Prayer Group: Pray with others for your loved ones and family members every Thursday morning from 7-8 am in the Chapel.

Our Church Family: Congratulations to Gerrit Tammel who celebrates his 88th birthday on Thursday. Congratulations to Joel and Jess Batelaan who were married yesterday. Condolences to Mike and Janet Steiginga in the passing away of Janet’s mom last week. The funeral was held last Saturday. Jean Couperus suffered a massive stroke this week while undergoing dialysis and was admitted to ICU at BGH. She remains in hospital and is not expected to live very long. Please pray for her and the family. Catherine Stoter took a turn for the worse on Monday and was not expected to live through the night. She revived and is expected to go to Quinte Gardens eventually. Her prognosis is not good but her faith is strong. Please pray for her and Frank at this difficult time. Arie DeRaaf is scheduled for surgery on Thursday in Kingston. Please pray the surgery goes ahead as scheduled. Please continue to pray for Glen Arendt, Marten VanderWal, Eve Kugel, Andy Jongenotter, Rick Foulds, and our shut ins in your prayers.

Offerings: Each week we hold an offering for a cause and for budget. This week’s offering is for Maranatha Ministries Next Sunday, October 9, the offering will be for Budget booster and Grace Inn.
Bulletin Announcements: All items for the bulletin must be in the office by noon on Thursdays to be included in the bulletin.
Junior High: this week we will be getting out our Cookie Forms for Cookies to be ordered in the next few weeks. Juniors & Seniors are excited to be starting their fundraising for our year end trip to Circle Square Ranch coming up in May 2023. Be sure to pass the word along and support our kids. We will also be focusing on our lesson called “So much to do, So little Time”. Come join us all those in Grade 6-8 as we come together to go deeper in our relationship with Jesus. See you there! Attention Senior High People!! Fun time we experienced @ Neil & Elaine’s this pas week. Coming up we are back @ the church. Make sure to get your Change Conference forms in if you’re attending Sr. High coming Oct. 14. We plan to meet as usual this week as we Adventure into what God is speaking to us about..
Young Adults: It was great to see so many of you come out last Tuesday! Join us again this Tues., Oct. 4 in the youth hall for the third week in our Gospel Love study. Maranatha Seniors: Our first meeting of the season will be on Thurs. Oct. 13 starting with a potluck lunch at 12pm. Bring your favourite dish, hot or cold and your plates and cutlery. Anyone over 60 is invited so come and check us out. We will play board games after lunch so bring your favourite. Hope to see you there! Thrift Store: Thinking of Halloween? We have lots of costumes. This week Red stickers and tags are $1.00—free on Sat. October 6th is 50%off. We are in need of some volunteers a couple hours a week to help with clean up. Help support the Belleville Christian School. For more information, call the store 613-967-1371.
Free 20s-30s Pizza Lunch: Are you in your 20s-30s but not connected with Young Adults? We’d love to connect with you! Adam Stickland and Pastor Mike are hosting a pizza lunch after church on Sun. Oct. 16 from 12-1pm in the Fellowship Hall. Free pizza , drinks and childcare )0-5) will be provided. Please email mike@maranatha-church.com if you plan to attend.
Our Thanksgiving Service will be celebrated on the Sunday of the Thanksgiving weekend (October 9), not on the Monday as indicated in the monthly calendar. We will be collecting non-perishable food items for the Gleaner’s Foodbank today and October 9.
Budget Booster: On Sunday, October 9, our offering will be a “budget booster,” to ensure that we will hit our budget targets for this year. Please prayerfully consider what sacrificial gift you might give on that day to support the mission and ministry of Maranatha Church.
A Month of Prayer for Our Church: We are excited to launch a church-wide prayer initiative to pray together for our church every day for the month of October. There is a prayer guide in the bulletin (or available on our website) with Scripture-based prayer points for each day from October 1-31. We encourage everyone to join in this time of focused, united prayer for God’s Kingdom to be advanced and His empowerment, anointing and breakthrough to be released in all areas of our church life and mission—as we humble ourselves and seek His face! Mark your calendars for a church-wide prayer meeting on Wed., Oct. 19 to pray through the building as well.
Mission Presentation: Natasha Roblin will be sharing about her recent mission trip to the Middle East today in the chapel immediately after the morning service. There will be a brief slide presentation and display table, and light refreshments will be provided. Please take the opportunity to support Natasha and learn more about her mission experience!

Ushers/Greeters: Since COVID started we have had the back doors closed for safety reasons. We have since reopened them but the front door team is looking for 8 people or couples to greet people as they come in. We are looking for a commitment of once every 4 weeks on a rotation basis. The hours are from 9:15 to the start of the service. We are also looking for a few more ushers.
