Our Church Family: Congratulations to Steven and Debra Twiss celebrating their 40th anniversary today and John and Sandra Vanberkel celebrating their 57th anniversary today. Congratulations to Willy Wever celebrating her 80th birthday on Tuesday, Evert Oerlemans turns 83 on Wednesday, Katie Rutledge turns 85 on Thursday, Henny VanderPloeg turns 80 on Friday and John Koomans turns 81 on Saturday.  Catherine Stoter is awaiting back surgery in Kingston after having a fall. Please continue to pray for Matilda Wiarda who is awaiting heart surgery. Please keep Laurie Wood in prayer as she walks through a bout of health concerns.  Pray for peace and healing for Laurie and wisdom and insight for the doctors.. Please remember Lucy Steiginga, Glen Arendt, Marten VanderWal, Eve Kugel, Andy Jongenotter, and Rick Foulds in your prayers and our shut ins.

 4 Keys to Hearing God’s Voice:  Join us Thursdays at 7 pm starting Sept. 22 in the Chapel for a practical 10 wee teaching series on how to recognize the voice of God withing your heart clearly and consistently.  Cost is $5  for the workbook, full book is optional for $15.  Contact Deborah Morgante at for more info or to register. 

Maranatha Seniors:  As mentioned last week the BBQ scheduled for Sept. 15 has been cancelled.  Please come and enjoy the family luncheon after this mornings service.

Coffee Teams: If you would like to join a coffee team on an 8 week rotation please contact the church office.  We are also looking for bakers for our Sunday morning treats.

GriefShare: The 13-session program consists of videos featuring experienced grief counsellors and people sharing their grief journeys, a workbook and time for discussion and sharing. We will be running two groups a week on Monday mornings from 10-12 and Thursday evenings from 7-9pm. Ushers/Greeters: Since Covid started we have had the back doors closed for safety reasons.  We have since reopened them but the front door team are looking for 8 people or couples to greet people as they come in.  We are looking for a commitment of once every 4 weeks on a  rotation basis.  The hours are from 9:15 to the start of the service.  We are also looking for a few more ushers. Young Adults: Are you a young adult between 18 and 30(ish)? We warmly invite you to join us this Tuesday, September 13th from 7-9pm in the youth hall as we begin our Gospel Love study. Through large group teaching by Pastor Trevor and small group discussion, we'll be digging deep into understanding how the gospel of Jesus radically shapes how we love and relate to others. Worship Night: Join us next Sunday evening, Sept. 18 for our unplugged time of worship from 7-8pm in the chapel. Please use the back door by the chapel when entering the building.

Thrift Store: All blue stickers/tags are $1 each this week. We are in need of children’s winter clothing and footwear.  If you’re in need of anything for Thanksgiving decorations/dishes please check out our store first. For more information call the store 613-967-1371.

Annual QCHS Eagle Run/Walk: We are so excited to invite you to participate in the family fun Eagle Run/walk on Saturday, Sept. 17. There is a 2k fun run/walk as well as 5k and 10k runs. The event will be run in the Quinte Conservation Area across from the school. The cost is a $20 for participants, $10 for children 12 and under, or $60 per family (parents and children under 18). Registration begins at 7:30am, with the races starting at 8am. All participants will receive a T-shirt commemorating the event. To ensure a shirt that will fit, please respond by e-mail to by Sept. 12 with your name(s) and size(s) of shirt. Shirts come in adult and youth sizes. Registration is available on the day of the event. There will be a breakfast following the run beginning  at 8:15 am. Everyone is welcome to come to the breakfast even if you don’t go on the Eagle Run. The breakfast is FREE!

Belleville Pregnancy & Family Care  Centre invite you to their Fall Fundraiser being held at Maranatha on Sat. Oct. 1 from 5:30-9 PM.  The meal will be catered by Barn & Country.  Tickets are $25.00 per person.  For tickets or more info visit

Drop-In Prayer: Mid-day prayer groups will resume every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 11:30am-1:30pm, starting this week on Sept. 6. All are welcome!
