Hearing God’s Voice Course: We had a great turnout this past Thursday for the start of the 10-week teaching series on how to recognize God’s voice in a consistent way. If you can’t attend on Thursdays but would still be interested in taking the course, please contact Deborah Morgante at deborah@maranatha-church.com. It’s not too late!

Ushers/Greeters:  Since COVID started we have had the back doors closed for safety reasons.  We have since reopened them but the front door team is looking for 8 people or couples to greet people as they come in.  We are looking for a commitment of once every 4 weeks on a  rotation basis.  The hours are from 9:15 to the start of the service.  We are also looking for a few more ushers. If you can help or for more information, contact Mike Jamieson at 613-243-1588 or mikejamieson 2020@outlook.com.

We will celebrate Communion on Sunday, October 2.

Budget Booster: On Sunday, October 9, our offering will be a “budget booster,” to ensure that we will hit our budget targets for this year. Please prayerfully consider what sacrificial gift you might give on that day to support the mission and ministry of Maranatha Church.

Men’s Life Breakfast:  We’ll be kicking off the new season with a Men’s Breakfast this Saturday, October 1 from 8-10 am. Invite your friends and let us know you’re coming! Suggested donation is $10. All ages and newcomers welcome! Please register through the insert or contact Andrew Wheatley or Tino Morgante for more information.

A Month of Prayer for Our Church: We are excited to launch a church-wide prayer initiative to pray together for our church every day for the month of October. There is a prayer guide in the bulletin (or available on our website) with Scripture-based prayer points for each day from October 1-31. We encourage everyone to join in this time of focused, united prayer for God’s Kingdom to be advanced and His empowerment, anointing and breakthrough to be released in all areas of our church life and mission—as we humble ourselves and seek His face! Mark your calendars for a church-wide prayer meeting on Wed., Oct. 19 to pray through the building as well.

Mission Presentation: Natasha Roblin will be sharing about her recent mission trip to the Middle East next Sunday, October 2 in the chapel  immediately after the morning service. There will be a brief slide presentation and display table, and light refreshments will be provided. Please take the opportunity to support Natasha and learn more about her mission experience!

Within the Veil: A grassroots group of Young Adult ministries in the Quinte region has answered the call to raise up monthly Sunday night worship events for the fall of 2022. The first will be held next Sunday, October 2 at Maranatha in the chapel from 7-9pm. This is geared to ages 18-30. Come for an evening of worship, scripture and testimonies!
