Children's Ministry
“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” - Proverbs 22:6.
This is the mission of Children's Ministry here at Maranatha.
Care Corner Ministry:
A place where infants and toddlers aged 0-4 come to receive care and are given structure while being kept safe and entertained with a story, snack, and toys; giving parents a bit of time to build relationships with others
Looking for: Volunteers who are friendly, love to play and snuggle with little ones, who are good at helping babies and toddlers transition from parents into play areas. They will also help tidy up before leaving for the day. Volunteers are needed for special holidays or events outside of Sunday morning (e.g. women’s events). Volunteers who have training already in working with special needs - ADHD, Autism.
Approximate time commitment: approximately 2 hours (9:30 -11:30am) arriving for 9:30am to get settled. Opportunity to volunteer at least once a month, up to 3 Sunday’s each month.
Kids Up Ministry:
A place where children from Kindergarten to Grade 6 learn about Jesus through stories, songs, crafts, and games. The team that runs Kids Up Ministry is responsible for creating a place of safety and care for the children of Maranatha.
Looking for: Volunteers who can prepare, plan, and teach assigned activities. Who are passionate about engaging the children in their relationship with Jesus and loving towards those still growing in their faith. Volunteers are needed for special holidays or events outside of Sunday morning (e.g. women’s events). Volunteers who have training already in working with special needs - ADHD, Autism.
Approximate time commitment: Sunday mornings from 9:30am-11:30am (2 hours) with occasional meetings before or after the service through the season. Opportunity to volunteer at least once a month, up to 3 Sundays each month.
