Prayer
"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land".

At Maranatha: we believe that prayer changes things. When we come to God with prayer and thanksgiving, He moves powerfully. Our prayer team is committed to seeing the life-giving power of prayer in the church.
Mid-Day Prayer Team:
Intercedes for the needs of the congregation, church ministries, leaders, and staff as well as praying for individuals who come in for personal prayer and encouragement
Looking for: People with a sensitivity to the Holy Spirit, who love prayer and love our church community.
Approximate time commitment: minimum 2 hours per week, 11:30am-1:30pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays. The team has occasional training and team building meetings.
Intercessory Prayer Team:
Intercedes for God’s Kingdom to come in our church, city and nation, with a focus on humility, repentance, faith, and unity to bring breakthrough.
Looking for: People with a sensitivity to the Holy Spirit,who love prayer and have a passion for God’s kingdom at Maranatha and beyond.
Approximate time commitment: 1-½ hours per week, 7-8:30PM on Thursday evenings. The team has occasional training and team building meetings.
Pre-service prayer team:
Meets before worship services to pray for the Holy Spirit’s anointing on those leading in the service, for God to move in the hearts and lives of all those present, and for his name to be glorified.
Looking for: People who love prayer and want to see the Holy Spirit move in our worship services.
Approximate time commitment: 1 hour before services, may be on a rotation schedule. The team has occasional training and team building meetings.
Post-service prayer team:
Meets after worship services to pray in teams for those who come forward with a personal need or in response to the message
Looking for: People who love prayer and love people, who are sensitive to the needs of people and to the Holy Spirit.
Approximate time commitment: ½ hour after services, may be on a rotation schedule. The team has occasional training and team building meetings.
Inner-healing prayer ministry team:
Offers prayer ministry appointments for those seeking help to pray through deeply-rooted problems in their life. Training is provided.
Looking for: All those who desire to move the heart of God through prayer and grow in their experience of praying with and for others to see the Kingdom of God come in power
Approximate time commitment: 1, 1-½ hours per appointment, scheduled at various times. Completion of training course and participation in at least one of the other prayer ministry teams is required.
